Six small cells in one story
Each cell is a little taller than square. A 3:4 photo from a phone camera keeps nearly 90% of its frame. An upright clip keeps the middle two thirds of its height, and a sideways clip keeps about half of its width.
On a phone screen, each cell is small. Give every cell one clear subject: one face, one object, one action. A wide scene full of small details turns to noise at this size, so zoom in on the part that matters.

Tips
Calm the grid with photos
Six clips moving at once is a lot to watch in a few seconds. Put photos in two or three cells. The file is still an MP4 while at least one cell holds a video.
Read order
Viewers scan the grid like a page of text: left to right, then down. For a trip or a week, put the first day top left and the last day bottom right.
Six videos take longer to export
The export decodes every video at the same time. Six clips at 4K and 60 fps take the longest of any layout. Pick 1080p and 30 fps for a quick draft, then export again at full size.
