Your photos and videos stay on your device
Storyvids opens, edits and encodes your photos and videos inside your browser. They are never uploaded to a server, and Storyvids never sees them.
While a video exports, the browser writes it to its private file storage on your device. The latest export stays there until the next one replaces it.
What the site stores
After a 4K unlock, Storyvids saves one flag, storyvids:unlocked, in your browser’s localStorage so 4K stays unlocked on this device. Clear the site data in your browser to remove it.
Camera and microphone
Storyvids uses the camera and microphone only while you turn the camera on in the editor. The picture and sound stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.
Hosting
Vercel serves the site. Like any web host, it keeps standard request logs, such as your IP address and browser user agent.
No analytics, ads or tracking cookies
Storyvids has no analytics, no ads and no tracking cookies.
Payments
Storyvids does not take payments yet. When it does, the payment provider handles your card details, and Storyvids never sees them.
