One big video with three small ones below

The big cell fills the top two thirds of the story at 1080 × 1280. Three cells of 360 × 640 sit in a row below it. Put the clip that tells the story in the big cell and the details below.

4 cells · 9:16

A main clip and three details

The big cell is close to the 4:5 shape of an Instagram feed post. A 4:5 photo or video keeps almost its whole frame there, so a post you already shared can lead the story. An upright clip keeps the middle two thirds of its height.

The three cells below are exactly 9:16, so upright clips fill them with no cropping. Each is a third of the width, so use them for close-ups that read at a glance: a face, a hand, a logo.

Good for

  • A main clip with three close-ups
  • A speaker with three reactions
  • A product shot with three details

Tips

Give the big cell the sound

The export mixes all four soundtracks. When the main clip has speech or music, fill the small cells with quiet clips or photos so the main sound stays clear.

Crop the small cells tight

Each small cell is 360 pixels wide at 1080p. Zoom in until the detail fills it. At this size a tight crop of one thing reads better than a wide shot of many.
